Likewise with skincare, I'm either all for or not with haircare. Sometimes I use numerous products in my hair after washing, other times I don't. I had wanted to dye my hair red for the longest time ever, so about a month ago, I took the plunge and dyed it (thanks mum). Along came the responsibility of using products to maintain the colour and make sure it lasts red for as long as possible.
From personal experience, I would say it is the shampoo and conditioner that helps pro-long the colour. I like to use a matching shampoo and conditioner - maybe that's just preference or maybe it's scientifically proven to help your hair or something, who knows. The shampoo I'm using is L'Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Shampoo. Not only does it smell incredible (it makes my hair smell gorgeous), but it's also caring towards my hair. It's rich, thick and creamy yet lathers into a mass of bubbles. To match, I'm using L'Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Conditioner. Very much like the shampoo, the conditioner is super creamy and leaves my hair extremely silky. Both the shampoo and conditioner are designed to help protect your dyed hair and I'm certain these two do. Basically, the dream team.
I haven't experimented with that many dry shampoos, however, I had high expectations for Fudge Urban Crisp Pear & Sweet Vanilla Dry Shampoo*. Straight away, I was greeted with the beautiful scent of crisp pear and sweet vanilla. I only needed to spray a small amount per section, fair to say I was chuffed about that. When I was finished using it on my roots and ensured to rub it in, I was shocked at my hair. It looked voluminous and pretty great. It looks great used in my hair whether I'm leaving my hair down or shoving it up into a ponytail (may I add how huge and volumised my roots look when it's tied up!) Not only does it smell brilliant, it guarantees fantastic results. Definitely one of my hair essentials.
After going back blonde I recently invested in the fudge clean blonde range, I can't wait for them to arrive to try out! Thanks for sharing xxxx

Ohh I bet the blonde range will be fab, enjoy using! xx
DeleteHave you tried the new L'Oreal clay range? The scent of that dry shampoo (pear and vanilla) sounds good enough to eat, I'll have to try that out! ❤️
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't but I heard it is really good! x
DeleteHey!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this post, mainly because I too have red hair and struggle to find a combination that works to maintain my gorgeous locks!!! >.< I have used these two before though and know that they do indeed work rather well to keep the red in my hair and not down the sink! ahaha! I have some of the products from the Fudge Range but not their dry shampoo.....I'm too much of a Batiste girl I think!! I do love good volumised roots though as my hair can be quite limp so anything that works to lift them up has to be a good thing!! >.<
Great post babe you know I love you!!!
MWAH!

Oh it does! x
DeleteFudge do some amazing stuff! I had one of their hair molding clay thingies (can't remember the name) ages ago when my hair was really short and it was amazing! I've also heard their purple toning shampoo is great. I also really like L'oreal's hair products, I've used their shampoos and conditioners for ages and they've never let me down.

DeleteI used to use my Batiste dry shampoo every other day (on the day I didn't wash my hair) but recently I've noticed my hair has started to fall out a bit more than usual, and after reading horror stories on the internet, I've stopped using dry shampoo because I'm really scared of loosing my hair altogether. But this dry shampoo sounds kinda delicious haha xx

I haven't ever tried Batiste! I've heard of those stories too - I don't use the dry shampoo all the time! x

DeleteI'm very picky about dry shampoos but that Fudge Dry Shampoo sounds great and seems like something I'd enjoy. The fact that is smells like pears and sweet vanilla fascinates me too. I NEED THIS like now. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou must try it asap! x
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of the Elvive shampoo/conditioner BUT one of my best friends has bleached hair and loves the Elvive hair mask. I've tried it as well and while it wasn't quite what I need for my hair it was pretty decent, so I think if you like the line in general you would probably REALLY like it. :)

I've heard such good things about their hair masks, I'm in need of a new one so must try it! x
