Lancôme Juicy Shakers♥*

I'm up for using a good lip product. It's either a hit or miss regarding the formula, colour and all the nitty gritty things in between. Lip oils though? Not a lip product I've came across before nor tried. I have hundreds of lip sticks and lip glosses, so I was excited to add the Lancôme Juicy Shakers* to my collection.

Initially, I find the boxes quite cute. Even though they are simple, the shine effect gives the minimalist aesthetic a little extra. The details of the products are across the box, giving you an idea of what beauty is inside.

The packaging of the lip oils remind me of nail polishes but can also be interpreted as little cocktail shakers - hence the name of them, "juicy shakers". On the left is the shade "Great Fruit" and on the right "Freedom of Speech"; the names are sweet. I was curious to how the formula of the oils would work; even though they appear bright, I wasn't sure if they would live up to the pigmentation. Thankfully, they did, and I was pretty relieved. As they are oil based, the pigment and oils require a shake before using, to release the full potential of the colour.

I was originally curious to the applicators. Would I be greeted with a doe-foot applicator or something completely different? The applicators are interesting. As you can see above, the shape of them are rather peculiar. Although, the seem to "fit" the shape of my lips. I like the applicators as a whole, I like the uniqueness but also that I can get along with them too.

I knew these Juicy Shakers would not be a disappointment. Lancôme have created a range full of beautiful colours, and they did a good choice in sending me the colours they did. Each Juicy Shaker retails for £18. I know I would happily own the whole range!

Have you tried these Juicy Shakers? Any colour recommendations?

  1. Ahh I keep seeing these everywhere and your review has made me want one more! They're such a great concept and the pigmentation seems very surprising due to the formula. These sound like a fab lip product to invest in for the spring/summer months and to rock a bright lip!xx

  6. I don't think I would try these colours as they are a little bit too bright for me but I am interested in other shades - could you do another post with swatches so we can see if they are highly pigmented?
