Vichy Dermablend♥*

I have been more into wearing my base makeup - I'm loving all the different finishes, varying coverage and mimicking flawless skin. When Vichy contacted me regarding their Dermablend, I was more than eager to give the range a shot!

The packaging initially comes in black boxes - sleek, professional yet minimalist. I don't keep my makeup in their boxes, mainly for easiness and quickness, but for a first impression on the product, it definitely adds an extra little something.

I had high hopes for the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Foundation*, and it is certain that those hopes were met. Mine is in Porcelain, but even though it's the lightest shade, I feel it isn't that light - it matches me ideally though. I knew it has good coverage so didn't want to use too much and waste it, or look cakey. When applied with a makeup brush, it buffed out flawlessly! I sometimes have red cheeks but this foundation managed to cover them up. As for the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder*, I couldn't wait to give it a shot. I usually use a pressed powder, so was intrigued to see how a loose powder would work. In conjunction with the foundation, it is impeccable. It sets the foundation in place as the name would suggest, but leaves a slight "dewy" finish which actually looks good with this foundation.

Both the packaging and quality of these two products would come across as exceptionally highend. Using them together creates a flawless base and looks as though your skin has zero imperfections - covers spots, redness, scaring etc. It's legit the dream team! Using either a makeup brush or damp sponge, the finish looks perfect.

I must say I am loving these two. They don't leave a cakey finish either, win win! Once applied to your face, it doesn't even feel like you're wearing any makeup it's that lightweight. I have oily skin but my makeup lasted a good 7-8 hours - it even survived a hectic food trip so I guess that's proof?

Have you tried the Vichy Dermablend range?

  11. I am a little confused. I have a foundation from a US brand called Dermablend, but I don't recall that it was from Vichy. It's probably a separate brand. At any rate, these sound very nice. I would have expected Porcelain to be super fair, but sometimes you can never tell until you try it. I'm a fan of Vichy skincare products. I'll have to look for these.

Matching my skin tone can be an issue so I would be interested to see if they can do that for me - damn the freckles and the pale skin!
Glad it worked well for you, and I love that it's lightweight as there's nothing worse than feeling that your make up is caked on.

  50. I haven't actually tried anything from Vichy ever but I think it might be about time I did! My mum used to have lots of their products though. The setting powder looks like something I could use. I've recently started preferring loose powders over pressed ones. They just offer a little more "freedom" when applying, if I'm making sense haha! And they don't cake up as bad, especially translucent ones.

Lovely post once again! Can't wait for the next one :)
